Sea spray

Sea spray is a spray of water originating from ocean waves. As a result, salt spray contains a high concentration of mineral salts, particularly chloride anions. Salt spray is largely responsible for corrosion of metallic objects near the coastline, as the salts accelerate the corrosion process.
