Seahaven is a fictional town featured in the 1998 film, The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey. It is depicted to be located inside a large fictional dome (stated to be the only man-made object that could be seen from space besides the Great Wall of China), which is in turn right in front of the Hollywood Sign.
Seahaven is a shore town with an un-finished bridge leading to a wildfire-prone area and a nuclear power plant; as a result, ferries had been depicted as an alternative method to travel in and out of town (although it is apparent that it isn't intended to provide actual service). It serves as the "film set" of Truman Burbank's life, which the inclusion of his home and workplace. The town has over 5,000 live cameras to capture Truman's every move, with numerous actors paid to play townspeople, friends and relatives of Burbank. The town is watched over by a giant window inside a moon in the dome; also inside the moon is a control room, where the cameras are viewed and managed.
Various shots of Seahaven were filmed in Seaside, Florida.
