Secularist of the Year

The Secularist of the Year award (a.k.a The Irwin Prize) is awarded every year by the UK's National Secular Society to recognise the individual considered to have made the greatest contribution to secularism in the previous year. The prize is a cheque for £5000 ($9500). The award began in 2005 and is sponsored by Dr Michael Irwin.
