Seiichiro Maki

is a footballer from Uki in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He plays the forward position. Maki currently plays with the J-league team JEF United Ichihara Chiba, and since 2005 has been a member of the Japanese national football team.Along with current Kashima Antlers player Masaki Fukai, Maki was a key player for Komazawa University in Tokyo, getting many wins for the team. During this time, Maki was selected to represent Japan in the 2001 summer Universiade in Beijing, contributing to their championship win.
In 2003, Maki joined JEF United Ichihara Chiba. For his first year at Chiba, he was often used as a second-half substitute. However, in 2005 he became a starting forward for the team, and was also invited to play with the Japanese national football team for the Asian qualification tournament leading up to the 2006 World Cup. In 2006 he was selected for Japan's World Cup squad.
