Semicircle
Encyclopedia : S : SE : SEM : Semicircle
In mathematics (more specifically geometry), a semicircle is a two-dimensional geometric shape that forms half of a circle. Being half of a circle's 360°, the arc of a semicircle will always measure 180°. Additionally, an angle in a semicircle is always a right angle.
Outside of mathematics, a semicircle can mean the arrangement of people or objects in a uncomplete circle. In popular culture, it need not mean exactly half of a circle, but can be any part of a complete circle.
