Sera, Hiroshima

Sera (Japanese: 世羅町; -cho) is a town located in Sera District, Hiroshima, Japan.

On October 1, 2004, the three towns in the district merged to form the new town of Sera. As of this merger but with 2003 population data, the town has an estimated population of 19,213 and a density of 69.04 persons per km². The total (expanded) area is 278.29 km².

Prior to the creation and not like other municipalities such as Tsubame, Niigata, Koga, Ibaraki, Kasama, Ibaraki, and Nikko, Tochigi by turing the former city halls into a satelite office, former Sera Town Hall is officially closed down and the new town hall is now located at another former town, this time it is located at the former town of Kozan.
