Serra del Montsec

La serra del Montsec is a calcarian mountain range about 40 km long and 18696 ha in area, located in the Catalan province of Lleida and the Aragonese one of Huesca in Spain. The range is perfectly oriented east-west and two rivers dissect it in impressive cliffs (Terradets and Montrebei). These rivers divide the range in three sectors: from west to east el Montsec d'Estall (in the Aragonese land), el Montsec de Rúbies and el Montsec d'Ares.
