Seth Adam Meyers (born December 28, 1973) is an American actor and comedian best known as a cast member of Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Previous to SNL, Meyers was a cast member of Boom Chicago, an English language improv troupe based in Amsterdam[Biography] from the NBC website. He was also a member of the Northwestern improv sketch group Mee-Ow.

Meyers joined SNL in 2001. In 2005, he was promoted to writing supervisor[[Citing sources citation needed]], and in January 2006, he became co-head writer, sharing the role with Tina Fey and Andrew Steele[SNL undergoing another generational shift], an AP article from The Arizona Republic website

He is currently writing (and will star in) a movie based on an SNL sketch, Key Party.

Personal life

He was raised in Bedford, New Hampshire and attended West High School in Manchester, New Hampshire, the crosstown rival of Adam Sandler's alma mater, Central High School (Sandler and Meyers did not concurrently attend high school, however). He graduated from Northwestern University.

His brother, Josh Meyers, is also an actor and comedian who was a cast member of MadTV. Josh Meyers also starred in That '70s Show.

Impersonations and characters

On SNL, he has impersonated such figures as John Kerry, Michael Caine, Anderson Cooper, Prince Charles, Ryan Seacrest, Sean Penn, Stone Phillips, Tobey Maguire, Ty Pennington, and Wade Robson.

He has played characters such as the Appalachian receptionist, Brad Scheinwald, David Klinger, Ian Gerard, Jonathan Feinstein, William Fitzpatrick, Zack Ricky, and Dan Needler.
