Sharan Q' (シャ乱Q, translated "Revolution Q" or "Plain Gauze Rebellion Q"), officially spelled Sharam Q, is a Japanese pop/rock band composed of Tsunku (つんく - Vocals), Hatake (はたけ - Guitar), Makoto (まこと - Drums), and Taisei (たいせー - Keyboard).
They debuted with 18ヶ月 (18kagetsu or 18 months) in 1992. They were not an instant hit initially, but their fourth single 上 京 物 語 (Joukyou Monogatari - Tale of Going to the Capital) broke the top 50. Eventually, the single シングル ベッド (Single Bed) broke top 10, and the next single ズルい女 (Zurui Onna) was top ten. The single 涙の影 (namida no kage or Shadow of Tears) topped the charts in 1996.
Since 2000's release of 新 ラーメン大好き小池さんの唄 (shin RAMEN daisuki koike no uta - Song of Koike who likes Shin Ramen), the band has been on hiatus.
