Shimoge District, Oita

Shimoge (下毛郡; -gun) was a district located in Oita, Japan. On March 1 2005, the district was abolished when the four towns that comprised it were absorbed by Nakatsu City.
In 2003, the district had an estimated population of 17,827 and the density of 40.98 persons per km². The total area is 435.03 km².
