Shin-Yokohama Station

Shin-Yokohama Station (新横浜駅; Shin-Yokohama Eki) is a train station in Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It is located on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, Yokohama Line, and Yokohama City Subway Line 3.
In addition to being a part of residential urban sprawl of the metropolitan Tokyo area, which includes Yokohama, the area around the station saw an influx of mid-size companies including computer software firms set up offices there from the mid 1980s on thanks to increased stops by the Tokaido Shinkansen at the station. Shin-Yokohama is the second stop on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen from Tokyo Station. Shinagawa Station, which introduced Shinkansen services in 2003, is in between Tokyo and Shin-Yokohama stations.
Nissan Stadium (formerly International Stadium Yokohama), which was host to the Football World Cup 2002 final match and home of the Yokohama F Marinos soccer team, and the Yokohama Arena are located about a 10-minute walk each from the station.
