Hashimoto became only the second man to win the top three heavyweight championships in Japan: the All Japan Triple Crown, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He founded Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE in 2001, and stayed as an owner and manager until November 2004, when he left the company.
Hashimoto died of a brain aneurysm in Tokyo, Japan, on July 11, 2005.
