The term shot may refer to:
- Shot (filming) is part of a film between two cuts.
- A single round fired from a firearm may be a warning shot; also, it may leave a person or animal shot, i.e. having sustained a gunshot wound.
- Small pellets, usually iron or lead, used in shotgun cartridges and other anti-personnel weapons.
- A type of solid projectile used in muzzle-loading cannon.
- A measure of volume approximately equal to one and a half fluid ounces or 44 ml. See Shot glass.
- An attempt to score a goal in various sports including ice hockey, basketball, Football (soccer) and Golf.
- An injection of medicine performed using a syringe and hypodermic needle.

- A length of chain, equal to 15 fathoms or 90 feet (used in maritime language)
- Silk woven from warp and weft strands of two or more different colours is called shot silk, and has an iridescent appearance.

- A colloquial term used in South Africa meaning "Thank you".
- A takedown in wrestling and other types of grappling.
- The Society for the History of Technology is commonly known as SHOT.
