Showroom

A Showroom has at least two separate and very distinct meanings.

A Showroom as a marketing location

A showroom is frequently used to describe a large space used to display a large number of related products for sale.

Showrooms can include:

An automobile showroom
A Furniture showroom
A Carpet showroom

A Showroom as an entertainment venue

A showroom is used to describe a permanent enclosed space used to present an entertainment show. Sometimes the showroom will be customized for a particular show. An example of this was the Las Vegas Hilton showroom that was used for Starlight Express which was customized by pouring concrete ramps for this show on the stage area and in the seating area.

Some showrooms are used on a daily basis while others are only used when a performer is booked to perform.

In some cases, the showroom can be leased to the performer who then retains all income rather than being paid directly by the showroom owner.

Common showroom uses:

A headliner (A singer or other performer)
A production show
