Shūnan (周南市; -shi) is a city located in Yamaguchi, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 155,157 and the density of 236.52 persons per km². The total area is 656.00 km².
The city was founded on April 21, 2003, merging former two cities Tokuyama and Shinnanyo.
