Siddapur is a panchayat town in Uttara Kannada district in the Indian state of Karnataka.

Geography

Siddapur is located at [12.3° N 75.87° E][Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Siddapur]. It has an average elevation of 914 metres (2998 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Siddapur had a population of 14,049. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Siddapur has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 72%. In Siddapur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
