Simmonds Brothers

The Simmonds Brothers are animators in Raumati, New Zealand who have developed animated documentaries, or documation, including "Pearl, Florrie and the Bull" (an animated film which told the story of two 80 year old twins being attacked by a bull in Paekakariki), and "Paekakariki, Center of the Universe". Their most recent film is called "A Very Nice Honeymoon" and tells the story of Elizabeth and Mariano Vella who were shipwrecked on the SS Wairarapa on Great Barrier Island, New Zealand, in 1894 on their honeymoon. This documation features five generations of the family telling the story, and includes archival audio of Elizabeth Vella herself, and her daughter, Metty Vella.
