Singen (Hohentwiel) is a city in the very south of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is an industrial town located north of the German-Swiss border.
The most famous sight of Singen is Hohentwiel mountain, a volcano that became extinct long time ago. On top of the mountain lies Hohentwiel fortress. The castle that once stood there was destroyed by French troops during the Napoleonic Wars.
