Sirica

is a fictional character who is exclusive to the Kirby anime as a guest character. She is one of the only guest characters to get more than one appearance, and also a very popular character among Kirby anime fans, as is her mother, a member of the Galaxy Soldier Army known as Garlude (or Garloot or Garuto or however you want to spell it), who died at Kirisakin's hands despite Meta Knight's attempts to save her when Sirica herself was only a child.
Since Sirica is, as mentioned before, very popular, fans living in the USA suggest that she should appear in a future Kirby game, appear as a fighter in a future Super Smash Bros. game, or star in her very own game series, which of course could be a portion of the Kirby game series. However, it is unknown if it will ever happen, and it could be unlikely that she may show up in a Super Smash Bros. game since the Super Smash Bros. series doesn't accept TV series-only characters even though they are from shows based on video games.

Appearance

Sirica looks strikingly a lot like Tiff (Fumu), except that both her skin color and hair color are white (some Japanese fan arts show both being purple instead of white), her eyes are narrower and meaner-looking (well, not always meaner-looking, some Japanese fan arts also showed her eyes sad-looking) with her eyelashes on their edges, plus she bears cheeks similar to that of Kirby, and her hair is not braided at all. She wears orange, sleeveless armor with green shoulderpads, and wears brown gloves and shoes each with two yellow, oval-shaped jewels on them, plus, she wears a green bandana. Her eye color appears to be light blue with bluish purple pupils.

Surprisingly, when a few Kirby fans first saw Sirica on a Japanese fansite filled with lots of cute Kirby art, namely Rainbow Colored Crayon, they were shocked, especially aspiring Kirby anime fan Ivyna J Spyder (She first saw Sirica standing next to Sword Knight in a Japanese fan art and dispected her being a mystery character.), who favors Kirby a lot, especially in Japanese. Many fans imagined that Sirica could possibly be either a souped-up version of Tiff, or her as a teenager.

Sirica's personified form in all the Japanese fan arts with her in them does not always have no clothes beneath her sleeveless armor, which accompanies the skirt she wears when she's personified. Some fan arts show her wearing white or purple shirts, whether they're long-sleeved or short-sleeved, beneath her armor.

Profile

Sirica is considered both a heroine because she proves to be a very worthy ally of Kirby in the closing episodes, and what may be an anti-heroine because she states in her mind how Meta Knight stole Galaxia in an opposite way at first.

Many fans agree that Sirica can be considered a female version of Knuckle Joe, since she shares the same kind of temper with him. She has a rude personality like Joe and King Dedede as well (which explains why she insulted Meta Knight even though he wasn't anywhere near her, calling him someone so heartless), and often thinks that all problems can only be solved through violence, until she becomes friends with Kirby and Meta Knight and their friends and allies. Since her mother's death, Sirica is an orphan, pretty much like Link, the hero of all Legend of Zelda games, who is an orphan in some games, and Samus Aran, the heroine of the Metroid series. She is famous for carrying around a mechanical, cannon-looking weapon (which appears to be manufactured by Nightmare Enterprises), which is of course five weapons in one. It can turn into a sword, machine gun, bazooka, flame thrower, and grappling hook. Not only is she skilled with her weapon, she is also despicted to be very skilled in martial arts (which may explain the back flip she used to dodge one of Meta Knight's sword swipes when she fought him in her first episode appearance), plus, she is also an excellent pilot. She is voiced by Tomoe Hanba in the original Japanese version and Veronica Taylor in the English dub. When she speaks in the English dub, she often sounds very much like Ash Ketchum from the Pokémon anime. Sometimes she will also sound like either Ash's mother, Delia, or May, both of which are from that same series.

Appearances in the anime

Sirica makes her very first appearance in the episode, "Sacred Sword! Galaxia", which aired in the United States as "Crusade for the Blade". She comes flying down in a spaceship that crash-lands in a forested area near King Dedede's castle. Dedede and Escargoon decide to investigate the landing site of the ship, where they find Sirica. Happy to know that she has landed in Dreamland, since she knows that Dreamland is ruled by Dedede himself, she attacks them with her weapon. Afterwards, she arrives at the castle and uses her weapon in its grappling hook form to scale the castle walls. She is seen by Waddle Dees and blasts them left and right before coming crashing through King Dedede's window, thus entering the castle itself. She eventually finds Meta Knight, who is in fact the one she seeks. She has a little fight with Sword Knight and Blade Knight, of course, and also runs into Kirby, Tiff, and Tuff (Bun). They demand that she explain why she is after Meta Knight and she says that she wants something that he has; the sacred sword Galaxia, which, according to Kabu, was forged by the Photoron, an ancient fire race that existed years ago. Sirica explains the story in her mind, which states that Meta Knight stole Galaxia and left her mother, Garlude, to die at the hands of a Nightmare Enterprises Monster named Kirisakin. So Sirica has vowed to steal Galaxia so she can avenge her mother's death. Just when Tiff and Sirica are about to get into a rather hissy catfight, Meta Knight steps in and gets wounded by one of the bullets from Sirica's weapon. Kirby and co. take Meta Knight to Kabu Canyon to let him recover, and of course, Sirica follows them there. She challenges MK to another fight, and easily defeats him, Sword and Blade, knocking Galaxia out of MK's hands. However, once she grabs Galaxia, she becomes electrocuted and sent flying by it, and MK states that only those who posess the power may claim Galaxia as their own. Meanwhile, Dedede, scared out of his wits of Sirica, buys a monster, and who does he get but Kirisakin, the same monster that killed Garlude while she and Meta Knight were stealing Galaxia back from it, and it goes rampaging to Kabu Canyon. Along with Sword and Blade, Sirica, even with her weapon, gets bested by Kirisakin, but Kirby steps in, inhales Sword Knight's sword, and becomes Sword Kirby. While Kirby fights Kirisakin, in which he breaks both of its scythes, which can regenerate (you gotta love that awesome evil grin it makes when they do!), Sirica tries to grab Galaxia again, but this time, she isn't just electrocuted by it, but she learns from Galaxia that her mother tried to grab Galaxia as well, then threw it to MK, who then tried to save her from Kirisakin but was too late to prevent her from dying in the end. Afterwards, she throws it to Kirby, whose sword got broken by Kirisakin's scythes, but the monster shoves him and grabs it with its mouth first. Luckily, Meta Knight borrows Sirica's weapon and blasts the sickle-handed beast with another one of its bullets, knocking the sword out of its mouth. Kirby finally grabs it, raises Galaxia in the air, and powers it, forcing Kirisakin to try to cover its eyes (since they cannot close at all anyway). Finally, Kirby uses the Galaxia Sword Beam attack, defeating Kirisakin. Afterwards, Sirica finally becomes friends with Meta Knight, Kirby, and their friends. The next morning, Sirica departs for space in the same ship she came crashing down on Dreamland in, bidding goodbyes to Kirby and co. in the process.

Sirica later returns in the show's closing episodes, which were first released in the USA as the direct-to-video film Kirby: Fright to the Finish. She pilots one of the Destrayers protecting the Cloaked Nightmare's flying fortress, and the other two Destrayers that were also stolen are piloted by Knuckle Joe, Arthur, Falspar, Noisurato, and Dragato. Sirica has become friends with these five and they are teaming up to help Kirby, Tiff, Tuff, Meta Knight, Sword Knight & Blade Knight, King Dedede, Escargoon, Kit Cosmos, and the Cappies, who are on board Battleship Halberd, enter the fortress to challenge Nightmare. They clear the path and the Halberd finally enters the fortress. While the entire Halberd crew is fighting inside the fortress, Sirica, Knuckle Joe, Arthur, and his knights continue to destroy the fleets of Destrayers. Unfortunately, they don't have enough time to get three of the Destrayers before they get through to find and attack the Halberd, after which when it explodes from being blasted too much after everyone on board it gets off, it destroys those three Destrayers in the process. After Kirby defeats Nightmare using the power of the Star Rod in his dreams, Kirby and co. finally escape the fortress via monster delivery system, after which a time bomb that Tokkori, with help from Kit Cosmos, managed to plant on the monster transmitter in the command center blows up and blows up the entire fortress from the inside out. Thankfully, Sirica, Knuckle Joe, Arthur and his knights manage to get their Destrayers away from the fortress before it explodes, and they return compliments to Kirby and the gang for being able to destroy the fortress. Sirica is no exception, and she is last seen saying, "Good luck, my friends."

Relationships with [

Many Japanese fan arts show that Sirica has relationships with Knuckle Joe, since they both have become friends prior to the 99th and 2nd-to-last episode of the anime anyway. Some fans thought that it would be rather cool to see what would happen if they fought against each other in a grudge match. Since Knuckle Joe's father was defeated and killed by Meta Knight (because Joe's father was turned into a monster by Nightmare) when Joe himself was only a young child, and Sirica's mother, Garlude, was killed by Kirisakin despite Meta Knight's attempts to save her, when Sirica was also only a young child, both Joe and Sirica have the same thing in common. As mentioned in her profile, Sirica's temper is just as bad as Knuckle Joe's, which they may both share when they fight together.
