Siris (Mythology)
Encyclopedia : S : SI : SIR : Siris (Mythology)
In Greek mythology, Siris or Sinis was killed by Theseus.
He tied people to two pine trees which he bent down to the ground, then let the trees go, tearing his victims apart. Theseus killed him the same way and raped his daughter, Perigune, with whom he fathered Melanippus.
Ovid VII, 440
