-->A sissy baby is a male infantilist who, in addition to wearing diapers and regressing, also prefers to play the female role while engaging in this fetish or lifestyle. While sissy babies employ the traditional totems of infantilists (bottles, diapers, toys, etc) they also prefer stereotypical "little girl" clothing, such as frilly pants or dresses.

Types of sissy babies
Gender switching
This type of sissy baby prefers to play the role of a pre-pubescent girl. Some have stated that they would permanently adopt this role if that option were available. There have been cases of men undergoing sexual reasignment surgery to attempt to live as a sissy baby, but no cases of being able to live in this manner permanently have been verified. This type of sissy baby retains their gender during role play, but enjoys being punished by being forced to dress and act as a pre-pubescent girl. These sissy babies may like traditional forms of discipline (spanking, being sent to bed, etc) in addition to being treated as a baby.Female
There has been some debate among adult babies as to whether women can be sissy babies. A female sissy baby would be one who enjoyed feminine clothing during role play that she would not normally wear in social situations. For example, a business woman known for wearing pant suits might enjoy dressing "pretty" when engaging in diaper-play. Another example would be the wearing of "extreme" sissy-wear. These might be excessively beribboned, lace trimmed garments that were restricted by parents (often seeking to prevent excesses of gender-casting) when the woman was a child.Role dominance
Most sissy babies consider themselves to be submissive, with the role-play parent in the dominant capacity. However, such a relationship may involve a "power switching" situation, as the role-play parent may be expected to perform diaper changing, feeding, bathing, etc.See also
