Six figure income

Six figure income is a term used most commonly in the United States and Canada to describe individuals or households whose income exceeds one hundred thousand dollars a year. Six-figure incomes are often seens as a great status symbol and one of the primary symbols of economic success. In the United States 15.8% of all households had annual incomes of $100,000 or more., many of whom also had net worths of over one-million dollars. These households are sometimes viewed as being above middle class, as the middle class is defined has having annual incomes between $25,000 and $100,000.
