Skirnir

In Norse mythology, Skírnir is Freyr's messenger and vassal. His name means "the shining one". He was sent as a messenger to Jötunheimr to conduct Freyr's wooing of Gerðr on condition of being given Freyr's sword as a reward. He was also sent to the dwarfs to order them to make the chain Gleipnir for binding the wolf Fenrisulfr.
