Skudenes

Skudenes is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway, created as Skudenes formannskapsdistrikt in 1837.

In 1849 the district was split into Skudenes og Bokn formannskapsdistrikt. On February 1 1858 the town Skudeneshavn was separated from Skudenes, constituting a municipality of its own. On January 1 1892 the same thing happened to Åkra.

On January 1 1965 Skudenes was merged with Avaldsnes, Kopervik, Skudeneshavn, Stangaland, Torvastad and Åkra to form the new municipality Karmøy.
