Sniff 'n' the Tears

Sniff 'n' the Tears is a one-hit wonder band known for their 1978 song "Driver's Seat." But despite this being a hit in many countries, it failed to reach the chart in the UK. There was a problem with record pressing which meant that, after a performance on Top of the Pops, no one in the UK could buy the single.
The band had existed until 1992 but were never able to recapture the success of "Driver's Seat." They later reformed, releasing new material in 2001.
"Driver's Seat" was featured on the soundtrack to the 1997 movie Boogie Nights.
The band has had plenty of musicians, but the original member is lead singer Paul Roberts.
