[SoCal Codes and Graphics] is a well known design forum hosted by ProBoards. They have a massive collection of codes which number in the 250+ range, as well as a database full of premade graphics which can be used for free by anyone. In addition to that, they also allow for free graphics and coding requests.
History
SoCal was originally founded in November of 2004 by its late administrator, California. It was used solely for storage of the numerous codes California made, and later for some premade images. Dreamweaver/Fireworks was the first moderator of SoCal, but due to inactivity, she was demoted in place of Soumak, a member who had contributed multiple templates and filled graphics requests. Many mods followed which includes Tygr Tat (graphics), Chris/CD (coding), LynyrdBSkynyrd (graphics), and VanillaOrchids (graphics). The original skin for SoCal was a blue and green skin which gave the board a real "california" theme or feel to it. Then, in 2005, the Neon Sapphire skin was released in honor of the forum's One Year Anniversary. Along with the new skin came revolutionary codes attributed to California and an amazing skin thanks to the combined efforts of the various graphics staff members.The Staff:

California
-->Cody a.k.a. California was the head administrator at SoCal for almost two years. He started what became a legendary forum from the ground up. Unfortunately, on June 13th, 2006, the members of SoCal and other prestigious design forums in the ProBoards community were informed of his death on May 19th. It was arguably the most tragic event to ever hit ProBoards and affected anyone who knew him or used his codes. Though in body he is gone, members claim that he will always be with them in spirit whether through his coding or his past posts. Many recall his blunt and often humorous comments towards members he'd been forced to ban, his saint-like attitude when helping members, and his seemingly endless pool of creativity in art, coding, and life. In light of these events, members, friends, mentors, and family of Cody pulled together to deal with the tragedy that befell SoCal. Numerous poems and banners have been made to honor him. One thing is sure: despite his separation from this world, he will always remain in the thoughts and hearts of his family and friends.
Almost every ProBoards member has agreed that Cody was one of the greatest coders in the community. He has contributed many codes to ProBoards, was a very thoughtful person, and has helped many coders with learning JavaScript. Cody has inspired many to start coding as well as start a new coding project. One includes Catatonic RPG, an RPG code dedicated to California by another coder of PB, Kahless. According to him, Cody's work had inspired him to finalize his decision to become a coder, leaving his graphics designing behind him. We will surely miss Cody and the work he has dedicated to the ProBoards community.
California will be missed by the whole of proboards for his great work.
