Solda was the first underground rap band ever to evolve from Finland in the end of the 80s. It claimed little domestic success because they were shadowed by mainstream acts such as Raptori and Pääkköset and because of their use of foul language, but they did pretty well in Estonia and in some parts of DDR.

The group's only official audio release is the now rare Ota Podee! (Blow me!) independent EP, published in 1989.
