SolidWorks Corporation is a US-based software company. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Systemes S.A..
History
SolidWorks Corporation was founded in 1993, and acquired by Dassault Systemes S.A. in 1997. In 1993, Michael Payne (a founder) left his V.P. of R&D position at Parametric Technology Corporation to help push the development of a new parametric modeler on the Microsoft Windows platform.

Its primary product is SolidWorks.
