Solo Mobile is a brand run by Bell Mobility on their network to compete directly with Virgin Mobile Canada.[link] Started in 2005, the brand markets to youth and currently only offers two phones: The Sanyo 2300, which comes in four different colours, and the Sanyo 3100 which is available in three colours. They charge $0.40 per minute before 8pm, and $0.05 per minute after 8pm and on weekends. Their 10-4 walkie talkie service permits $1 flat rate charge on 5 pre-programmed numbers anywhere in Canada. These prices only apply to prepaid accounts. Solo Mobile offers two monthly contract accounts with their own rates of $25 and $35.
