Al Capone's son became a car salesman and later opened a restaurant, Ted's Grotto, with his mother Mae at 6970 Collins Avenue in
Miami,
Florida. The restaurant went under and he became a tire salesman. He married and had four daughters, but was divorced. The Springfield Rifle Company, noticed he was a good marksman and offered him a job touring and giving firearm demonstrations. He was arrested for shoplifting and was placed on probation. After being placed on probation he legally had his name changed. He moved to
California, but later retired back to
Florida. Ralph died in 1974. His son, Ralph Capone Jr., committed suicide in 1950.
