South Central Railway

The South Central Railway is one of the 16 railway zones in India. It is headquarted at Secunderabad and has the following divisions: Reorganized Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Guntakal (including Bellary-Guntakal (MG) ), Vijayawada, New Guntur and Nanded. It covers Telangana, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra parts state of (a part of Uttara Andhra is part of East Coast Railway which also includes the prestigious Waltair (Vizag) Division) Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
It was created on 2 October, 1966 as the ninth zone of Indian Railways. It has 5752 route kilometers of track. General Manager-Mr.D.N Mathur
