South Killingholme

Encyclopedia : S : SO : SOU : South Killingholme

South Killingholme is a village in North Lincolnshire, divided by the A160 dual cariageway. Considerably larger than its neighbour, North Killingholme, together they make up the area of Killingholme. It is slightly closer to Grimsby than Scunthorpe. The ConocoPhillips and Total oil refineries dramatically dominate the skyline around the village. There is a doctor's surgery, hairdressers, village shop, primary school, community centre, bowling green, park and two take-away food outlets. The public house is called the Cross Keys.
