South Yardley is one of the 40 electoral wards in Birmingham, England.
South Yardley is one of the three wards that make up the formal district of Yardley. It covers an area of 7.03 square kilometres. According to the 2001 Population Census there were 27,620 people living in 10,907 households in South Yardley.
As of 2005, the three councillors representing South Yardley on Birmingham City Council are John Hemming, David Osborne and Jim Whorwood, all of the Liberal Democrat Party.
The main shopping centre is the Swan Shopping Centre. It was previously burned down but has now been rebuilt. It includes an indoor market and South Yardley Library.
