Southern Redbacks

The Southern Redbacks are an Australian first class cricket team based in Adelaide, South Australia. It competes in the first class competition the Pura Cup, which was formerly known as the Sheffield Shield, and in the limited overs ING Cup. 2006 brought the first twenty20 matches for all state teams.
The 2004-05 and 2005-2006 season captain is Darren Lehmann and the vice-captain is Graham Manou. Their One Day match uniform's dominant colour is red similar to Zimbabwe.
The team features such well known players as Darren Lehmann, Greg Blewett and Jason Gillespie. The Redbacks also have a few young guns pushing for Australian selection. These include Callum Ferguson, Dan Cullen and Mark Cosgrove. Ferguson is a stylish middle order batsman, Cosgrove is a powerful left handed opener, and Cullen is a fantastic off-spinner.
