"Space and Time" is the middle song from The Verve's album Urban Hymns. Very much unlike the psychedelic, alternative styles of music from earlier Verve recordings, this song is entirely Britpop, no hint of the former styles of music are heard at all. The music is quite smooth with simple chords and guitar parts. Although this, along with One Day, is a 'relaxing' and quite simply-written song, it is on an album with monstrous psychedelic songs Come On and The Rolling People. The diversity shown by the band truly made it the best of their albums.
