|} Messier 100 (also known as NGC 4321) is a spiral galaxy about 150 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781. It is one of the brightest members of the Virgo cluster. There have been five supernovae (SN 1901B, SN 1914A, SN 1959E, SN 1979C and SN 2006X) discovered within it. NGC 4323 is a satellite galaxy of Messier 100 Other imagesImage:Improvement in Hubble images after SMM1.jpg|Before and after the fix of HST External link
