Spirit of Eden
Encyclopedia : S : SP : SPI : Spirit of Eden
Spirit of Eden is a 1988 album by Talk Talk, their fourth by this point. While not as noticed as its 1991 follow-up Laughing Stock, it bears a strong resemblance to it, and many fans actually prefer it to Laughing Stock. Talk Talk's label forced the band to choose a single from the album, and they chose "I Believe In You," which despite lack of commercial success, was a huge artistic success. A videod performance of "I Believe In You" is available here [link] on Youtube.
