St Peter the Great

Encyclopedia : S : ST : STP : St Peter the Great

St. Peter the Great is a suburb of Worcester, Worcestershire, England, and a civil parish in its own right. It is in the south-west of the city.

The parish is named for the church of St Peter the Great. The parish of the church was divided into parts - St Peter the Great City and St Peter the Great County. The former was merged eventually with other Worcester parishes to form a united Worcester parish [link], whilst the latter was annexed to the city of Worcester under the Local Government Act 1972, in 1974, having previously formed part of Pershore Rural District.
