Stall speed

Stall speed is an aerodynamic term.

For every weight of every aircraft, there is an airspeed at which the wing's angle of attack will exceed the critical angle of attack. At this angle of attack the air will no longer flow smoothly over the upper surface of the wing. The wing will cease developing sufficient lift and the wing will stall.

There are multiple V speeds which are used to indicate when a stall will occur:

On an airspeed indicator, VS0 is indicated by the bottom of the white arc, while VS is indicated by the bottom of the green arc.
