State Highway Spur 366 (Texas)

Encyclopedia : S : ST : STA : State Highway Spur 366 (Texas)

State Highway Spur 366, also named Woodall Rodgers Freeway is a highway that connects Interstate 35E to the intersection of U.S. Route 75 (Central Expressway) and Interstate 345 in Dallas, Texas. The highway also serves as a dividing line between downtown Dallas to the south and Oak Lawn, Uptown, State Thomas and Victory Park to the north.

Current plans for the Trinity River Project call for Woodall Rodgers to be extended west of I-35E across the Trinity River, where it would connect Downtown Dallas to Oak Cliff. The bridge spanning the river would be constructed by Santiago Calatrava. In a separate development, plans exist to roof a section of the freeway between Pearl and Akard, turning this area into a park, and thereby connecting the downtown Arts District with Uptown.

The highway is named after Woodall Rodgers, a former mayor of Dallas responsible for the construction of Love Field and Central Expressway.
