State Road 600 (Florida)
Encyclopedia : S : ST : STA : State Road 600 (Florida)
State Road 600 is a major state highway running through Florida. For most of its route, SR 600 is the hidden designation of US 92 as it crosses the Florida peninsula from State Roads 686 and 687 in St. Petersburg to A1A in Daytona Beach. On the western side of Lakeland, US 92 and SR 600 part ways, only to reunite east of the city (from 1961 until 1998, the stretch of SR 600 that wasn't concurrent with US 92 was signed Business US 92).
The western end of SR 600 is not the western terminus of US 92, which continues southward toward downtown St. Petersburg on SR 687. It crosses Tampa Bay on the Gandy Bridge.
