State Road 7 (Florida)

Encyclopedia : S : ST : STA : State Road 7 (Florida)

Florida State Road 7 is a major north-south artery connecting Okeechobee Boulevard (SR 704) in West Palm Beach to US 41 (SR 90) in the Little Havana section of Miami. All but the northernmost two miles (from Royal Palm Beach to West Palm Beach) is also US 441, and has been since 1950.

Although the Palm Beach County stretch of US 441/SR 7 features signs with both designations, the road in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties is signed with only the US 441 shields, but Broward County addresses along the route show references to "State Route 7". In Miami-Dade County, there is no indication of Florida State Road 7 anywhere along US 441.

At Royal Palm Beach, US 441 makes a westward turn, complexing with US 98 (SR 80) as it approaches Belle Glade on the shore of Lake Okeechobee.
