Stekene is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Kemzeke, Klein Sinaai and Stekene proper. On January 1st, 2005 Stekene had a total population of 16,823. The total area is 44.80 km² which gives a population density of 375.53 inhabitants per km².
