Trivia
When transport minister, it was surprising when he appeared on Top Gear for the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment. It turns out that he is actually quite a petrol-head, having earned quite a few traffic citations in his day and having owned many respectable cars including an Alfa Romeo. It was especially surprising when he turned out an exceptional lap time breaking the 1:50 mark, thus beating Jeremy Clarkson himself. Near the end of the segment, Ladyman was shown being "caught" by a speed camera while lapping the Top Gear test track.External links
