Steve Mackey

Steve Mackey (born 10 November 1966 in Sheffield, England) is a British musician, best known for playing bass guitar in Britpop band Pulp.

Mackey joined Pulp in 1988. The first album he played on was Separations, and he was part of the band as they reached the height of their success during the mid-1990s.

Mackey was the mastermind behind AUTO Festival, which took place on 14 December 2002 at Rotherham's Magna Centre, and hosted Pulp's last live performance to date. Since then he has done production work for M.I.A. (as Cavemen with Fat Truckers' Ross Orton) and The Long Blondes, and played a cameo role as one of the Weird Sisters rock band in the film of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
