Strathnaver or Strath Naver (Scottish Gaelic, Srath Nabhair) is the strath of the River Naver, in the Sutherland area of Highland, Scotland.
Geography
Strathnaver runs from Altnaharra to Bettyhill on the Atlantic coast, a distance of 37km (23 miles).Map references

History
Strathnaver was the location of some of the worst atrocities of the forced evitions of the Highland clearances in the early 19th century.Natural History
The River Naver is designated a Special Area of Conservation due to its importance for Atlantic salmon Salmo salar, and Freshwater pearl mussels Margaritifera margaritifera, despite past pearl-fishing.External links
