Street songs is a seminal 1981 Rick James concept album. Most of the songs on the record deal with prostitution. One song on this album, Super Freak, was one of James' biggest hits.
A 'Deluxe Edition' was released in 2001 containing an additional seventeen mixes and live versions of the album tracks. The song "Ghetto Life" was featured in the 2002 video game .
