Stuart Card

Stuart Card is a Senior Research Fellow at Xerox PARC. He has been at PARC since 1974, and is now the Area Manager of the User Interface Research, or UIR, section of PARC. He has been one of the pioneers of applying human factors in human computer interaction. In 1983 the book he wrote along with Thomas P. Moran and Allen Newell The Psychology of Human-Computer Interaction was published. It became a very influential book in the field, partly for introducing the Goals, Operators, Methods, and Selection rules (GOMS).
