In Australian Rules Football, there are several different styles of kicking the ball.
These include the:
- Drop punt, the most accurate method, often used for set shots on goal.
- Torpedo punt, used for long distance passes.
- Banana kick, used when kicking for goal on a sharp angle.
- Grubber kick (also called soccering), where the ball is kicked along the ground rather than in the air, usually in rushed proximity shots for goal.
