Sub

Sub- is also a common prefix loaned from the Latin language. It means "under", "below", or "less than".

SUB may represent, among others:

English subtitles on a foreign film (as opposed to dub), especially anime. Short for subtitle.
the Seafarers' Union of Burma.
a shortening of submarine, also used in reference to a submarine sandwich
the ticker symbol for Summit Bancorp of New Jersey on the New York Stock Exchange.
the IATA airport code for Juanda Airport serving Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
